If you didn’t know, Thom Beers is the main man behind so many of the hit TV shows we love on the Discovery Channel. As creator/producer of some of the best shows on television, we thought it would be fun to offer viewers a closer look at his next hit coming to the Discovery Channel – Motor City Motors.
As the man responsible for bringing us such hits as Deadliest Catch, Dirty Jobs, Lobstermen, Ice Road Truckers, The Colony, Biker Build-Off, Monster Garage and many more, if Thom is behind it, you can bank on another hit.
This show stars the Detroit Bros team of James and Dave Kaye, along with their father and other colorful characters. You might’ve seen these guys on Biker Build-Off, showing off some or their unique skills and design work. In this new show, the guys will be assigned to build one thing out of another, à la Monster Garage (it appears). In the first episode the Detroit Bros will be turning a 1926 Ford Model T four door sedan into a fire-breathing 1000 hp street rod.
Future episodes will show the bros transforming an old military truck int a corn stalking machine, and a GMC Suburban into an asphalt truck.
